Sit in a comfortable position, light a candle and close your eyes.
What’s your deepest fear? I invite you to sit with this for 10 minutes, to acknowledge it within your body. No emotions, just sensations. How does this fear talk to your body, under which kind of sensations: temperature? Constriction or tension? Smells, heart beat to blocked throat? I invite you to also give this fear a colour, a picture. I invite you to visualise your deepest fear.
I invite you to transform this fear, I invite you to dance this fear, to access and ultimately express this fear by dancing it, however no music in the background. Just your feet, your fist or hands clapping, your voice, your chest and hips and legs. I invite you to transform this fear, I invite you to dance and to literally allow yourself to be instinctual as if you are fighting a tiger.
Don’t kill the tiger, dance and tame the tiger.
Sit now in stillness, you might be sweating, you might be tired; just breathe in front of the candle at almost half metre distance from it. Long and gentle breathe out through the mouth with eyes open, enough that the candle won’t blow out. Look at the candle, breathe into the fire and call within the transformative energy of the fire.
Write now. What this deepest fear of mine had to teach me.
